I come from a Buddhist family and I first heard about Jesus when I entered Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ Primary School. It was only in my Secondary School years that I got more curious about Christianity, because of my CCA teacher who is a Christian and always openly talked about how wonderful God is.
I did not attend church till I met a friend in JC who invited me to City Harvest Church in 2008. From that year on, I decided to accept and follow Christ. My Christian walk has its ups and downs but the Lord has shown me that by placing Him first in my life, He will make a path for me that would be for the best.
In 2011, the Lord also strengthened me when I cried out to Him at my lowest point in life. That year in April, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. At that point in time, it was just another two semesters before I could complete my degree. But God took care of all my needs like my studies even though it was a trying time for me and my family. He has taught me to trust and wait upon Him through the most trying times and he has today delivered us out of the lowest point in our life. I want to say that it is because of Him that I cleared and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management on 23 August 2013. I also want to thank Him for hearing my prayers for healing my mum.
Today, I do not know where God will call me to be, but I am certain that He will always have a plan for me, I just have to trust and obey him. Baptism will signify a new beginning for me in my life. I want to thank God for His wonderful blessings and I will continue to do my best to serve and glorify Him in all aspects of my life.
