CARRYING THE CROSS
The scorching noonday sun, the weight of the wooden cross symbolized the heavy burden that Jesus was willing to carry to obey His Father.
Simon of Cyrene was forced to carry the cross for Jesus. He did not have a choice. But Jesus chose the way of the cross.
Are you willing to make difficult choices when following Christ
This passage is familiar to us but read it at least twice, slowly.
Then pause and know the Holy Spirit is present with you.

21 And they compelled a passer-by, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.
